Red Nation International Film Festival 2023
The Authentic Voice of American Indian & Indigenous Cinema
Takes place every year as part of American Indian Heritage Month in the City of Los Angeles.
45 films directed by women | 40 women screenwriters
Over the course of the last six years, we have wholeheartedly championed the screening of an impressive 162 films directed by women.
This laudable initiative serves as a resounding testament to our unwavering commitment to promoting inclusivity within the film industry. In a remarkable feat, we have even surpassed prominent film festivals like Toronto, Cannes, Sundance, Tribeca, & the Oscars in terms of the sheer numbers of women-directed films featured.
*Thirty-one films are available for streaming online, including “Finality of Dusk”, “A Boy Called Piano” and other indigenous films.
