Celebrating RED NATION INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL Alumni This Emmy Awards Season

Historic representation! For the first time, we’re seeing two Native actors nominated under the same category with both Kali Reis (Wampanoag, Cape Verdean) and Lily Gladstone (Siksikaitsitapii/Nimíipuu) nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series.

The nominations for the 76th Annual Emmys are in, and we are thrilled to see many RNIFF alumni among the honorees! This year’s nominees continue RNIFF’s tradition of celebrating Native and Indigenous excellence in storytelling. After 29 years of amplifying Native Indigenous voices, the industry is finally taking notice. Representation matters — no one tells our stories better than our own filmmakers. Native voices are in charge of their narrative, and we couldn’t be prouder.
