DIRECTORS STATEMENT

At its core, Ghost is about a man trying to break a cycle—not just for himself, but for his daughter, for the next generation. That message resonated deeply with me. As an Indigenous filmmaker, I’ve always tried to tell stories that shine a light on our communities—stories that are rich with culture, strength, and complexity. Ghost gave me a chance to do that in a new way—through the lens of action and redemption.

Stylistically, we leaned into a gritty, grounded tone—something that felt visceral and real, but still entertaining. We wanted audiences to feel the tension, but also the hope. I’m especially grateful to Doc and the entire team who trusted me to help bring this vision to life. Their support and belief in this story made everything possible.

More than anything, I hope younger generations watch Ghost and see possibility. That they’ll see someone on screen who looks like them, fighting for something bigger than himself, and think—“Maybe I can do that too.”

We want to develop this story into a 6 episode series.
