FESTIVAL PREMIERE
Harvest
Director: Victor André Oliveira de Arruda (Kuríporã Inhkuju)
What if death carried not fear, but enchantment?!
Guided by a musical narrative and woven frame-by-frame with the delicacy of watercolor, Harvest stems from deep listening to immerse itself in the Indigenous worldview of grief, shattering Western taboos and redefining the meaning of death.
A deeply collaborative and experimental creation, the film embraces its team’s plurality of styles and technical diversity as pure aesthetic language—celebrating the philosophy of a school-studio, the fluidity of existence, and mutual learning.
Harvest is a tender work on love, ancestry, affection, and reclamation; an open invitation to decolonize our gaze and dive into the river of existence, where the end is but a reunion.

DIRECTORS BIO
Kuríporã is an Indigenous multi-artist of the Kaingang and Guarani peoples who, since childhood, has woven his life through art to touch and inspire existences. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Game Design (UNIVALI) and a Technical degree in Animation (SENAI), his practice bridges the precision of contemporary design with the depth of ancestral narratives—manifested in a versatile body of work that spans storyboarding, comic books, digital games, and project management.
He has illustrated children’s books such as Sunrise in the Amazon, created the Pyá comic strips, and served as artistic director for the Kurumi Civil Society Organization (OSC), where he helped strengthen ethnic-racial education. Through a signature style characterized by vibrant digital watercolors and cartoonish linework, his passion for the fauna, flora, and culture of his people overflows. In Harvest (2026), his directorial debut short film, Kuríporã translates deep listening and affection into tender lines, inviting the world to decolonize its gaze on grief and celebrate the fluidity of life.
