Misty Shipman is an enrolled member of the Shoalwater Bay Tribe of Indians and a descendent of the Chinook and Lower Chehalis people. Her work has appeared in dozens of film festivals, including Toronto Women in Film, Native Women In Film, Television, and All Media, One Heart Native Arts and Film Festival, the LA Skinsfest, and many more. Misty holds an MFA in writing from the University of Idaho and a PhD in Native American Literature and Film from Washington State University. She works as a grant-writer for the Kalispel Tribe of Indians in Washington State.
