Red Nation International Film Festival is America’s largest and most prestigious celebration of American Indian & Indigenous Independent Film and Culture held during Indian Market week in Santa Fe NM, in August. Each year, the Festival takes the best from its archive including NEW films to Santa Fe Indian Market – RNIFF “On the Road’.
Red Nation International Film Festival the first Native Film Festival to launch in Los Angeles. Fifteen years ago there wasn’t a venue to experience Native Cinema in the Entertainment Capital of the World. Red Nation Film Festival is a national treasure to all Angelenos, Visitors, Entertainment Industry and the World at Large.
In November, Red Nation International Film Festival & Awards Gala. 2018 marks the festival’s 15th year for American Indian & Indigenous Independent Films. RNIFF-LA is the largest American Indian Heritage Month event in the country and America’s largest and most prestigious celebration of American Indian & Indigenous film, live performances, Arts and culture.
Annually, in Los Angeles for 12 days, RNIFF-LA showcases more than 50+ native independent new films and producesthe only Native Film Market in the world, concluding with RNCI Red Nation Awards. RNIFF’s is dedicated to breaking the barrier of racism by successfully replacing American Indian stereotype with recognition, new vision, arts, culture and economic prosperity by placing American Indian Filmmakers at the forefront of the entertainment industry and to introduce American Indian Filmmakers to larger, global mainstream audiences while championing Native Women in Film & Television and giving voice and inspiring native youth with our dedicated program Native Youth Matter™ – If I Can See It I Can Be It.™
