Each year in November, RNCI Red Nation Awards *Honors* is held during RNCI Red Nation International Film Festival Awards Ceremony, broadcast live from Red Nation Television Network, marking yet another historic phenomenon, cementing native image at the forefront of the industry, highlighting the very best American Indian & Indigenous contributions to film, television, comedy, music and the arts.

RNCI Red Nation International Film Festival created is special recognition, dedicated in honoring and named after Marlon Brando, Chief Dan George, Edward Albert Jr., Edward R Roybal and RNCI Lifetime Achievement Award. These prestigious awards are exclusive to Red Nation Celebration Institute.

The Marlon Brando Award, Chief Dan George Award, Edward Albert Jr. Award, Edward R Roybal Award have all been endorsed by family members.

History: Red Nation Celebration Institute has been honoring individuals and organizations, since 1995. The Honor Award came first. In 2003, RNCI Red Nation International Film Festival created the RNCI Red Nation Award highlighting the very best American Indian & Indigenous contributions in film, television, comedy, music and the arts. All nominees and winners were announced online. In 2009, The Statuette was presented in Santa Fe NM during Indian Market week during RNCI Red Nation International Film Festival ‘ON THE ROAD’ and is now presented each November at RNCI Red Nation International Film Festival.
