LOS ANGELES PREMIERE

“We Shall Remain”
November 8th | Laemmle Music Hall Theatre | 4:25pm

Director: The StyleHorse Collective

Producers: The StyleHorse Collective

Music Video | USA | 6:16 mins.

WE SHALL REMAIN is a music video created to address the effects of historical trauma in our tribal communities. Many times, these untended wounds are at the core of much of the self-inflicted pain experienced in Native America. Much like fire, this pain can either be devastatingly destructive or wisely harnessed to become fuel that helps us to rise up and move forward in life with joy, purpose and dignity.

WE SHALL REMAIN was created by The StyleHorse Collective and filmed on the Coeur d’Alene Reservation with students attending the 2014 NW UNITY Youth Conference. Music written and produced by The StyleHorse Collective. Vocals were provided by The Wakan Sisters (Billie Kennedy, Dani Kennedy and Katt Jefferson) and CeCe Curtis-Cook.

Funding was provided by The Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections and The Idaho Millennium Fun.
